About this course
What will I study?
Our MSc Mass Communication Management programme is designed with the help of industry practitioners so you will graduate with the latest knowledge and skills required by the creative and media sectors.
The modules focus upon approaches to global marketing management, advertising, promotional culture, key research approaches and skills as well as mass communication industries and working patterns. You will explore and understand leading media theories, trends and key issues and how they influence contemporary mass communication and the creative media industries.
This programme has a strong international focus combining key aspects of marketing strategy and management approaches which would suit those interested in mass communication and the relationship it has to advertising and promotion, research methods, and contemporary mass communication industries.
How will I be taught and assessed?
Teaching and learning takes place in seminars, lectures, tutorials and workshops. In addition, you will engage in independent study involving directed and self-directed learning.
Assessments for this course are based on a mix of assignments, presentations and group work.
You will be assigned your own Guidance Tutor who will provide academic and pastoral support and be your first point of contact if you have questions or problems.
Careers and further study
Upon graduation you could progress onto a career within business management and media industries including advertising, marketing, media and journalism.
If you choose to continue your professional development and training, upon graduating, you will be eligible to join one of our Professional Pathway programmes. Each Pathway is worth a minimum of £3,000 and offered to our graduates for free, from our partner, QA.

If you don’t meet the academic requirements
Applicants who do not have such an academic qualification but do have substantial experience of working in a business organisation and/or possess a relevant professional qualification will also be considered. If you’re unsure if you meet the entry criteria, please contact us and our team will be able to advise you.
Alternatively, you may also be eligible for our Pre-Masters courses. These are pathway programmes designed specifically for students who are looking to progress on to a Masters degree but who don’t currently meet the entry requirements.

International students choosing to study the MSc Mass Communication Management programme will be eligible for either our programme bursary or a country bursary, whichever is greater.

Once you’re ready to apply, you can apply online to study the MSc Mass Communication Management programme. This method allows you to upload your supporting documents at the time of application and automatically receive your student application number.
We strongly recommend that you submit your application as early as possible to allow you to complete all of the preparations needed to study your course. After receiving an offer it can take time to arrange your finances and apply for your visa (if required) and it is important that you arrive in good time to enrol onto your course.
